WP Engine Pricing Plans are Now More Affordable

WP Engine is by far my favorite WebHost for WordPress. This post will share more on the WP Engine pricing change (hint: it has become more affordable). It will also give you a link to save some cash if you sign-up.

When I first started exploring WordPress as a platform it was 2004. This was way before I had formed Gabster, and I was working as a sales guy for a SaaS company that specialized in helping eCommerce merchants.

The merchants were super hard to reach over the phone and email so I launched a blog to bring them to me and started blogging about industry topics that were timely and relevant.

Back then I knew nothing about hosting and simply went with the company I bought my domain name off of. For a lot of folks, this was/is GoDaddy, it was for me too.

And the hosting worked for my basic needs, but as I grew into a full-time freelancer and needed a better WebHost, not just for me, but for my clients–I looked into a new solution.

Enter WP Engine as a WordPress WebHost

I found WP Engine back in 2014, by then the company had been around for 4 years. Immediately I saw the value of having a WordPress specific WebHost so I decided to kick the tires and never looked back.

WP Engine makes it simple for WordPress website developers by offering WordPress specific development tools. Built-in staging sites, automatic daily back-ups, SSL certificates, and a whole development kit that makes building and scaling WordPress sites faster, easier, and simpler. The only caveat was that it was pricey, granted it was worth its salt but at $29/mo per website, I chose to stick my less expensive and soggy performing website hosting based on price alone. I was not considering the value I was getting.

Fast Forward to 2020 and how WP Engine Pricing Has Evolved

As WP Engine has grown its market share it has rolled out all kinds of features to make managing a WordPress website less ‘techy’ and more user-friendly:

  • Genesis Framework
  • 35+ StudioPress Themes
  • 24/7 chat support
  • Dev/Stage/Prod Environments
  • Transferable Sites
  • PHP 7.3 ready
  • Evercache
  • LargeFS
  • Global CDN
  • Page Performance
  • Automated SSL certificates
  • SSH Gateway

WP Engine Pricing has dropped recently to just $22/mo and if you use my link, you will get 3 months free.
